Weston Scott (Wes/he/they) is a California-based writer. Their premiere work, Tinderella: the modern musical, received nine Bay Area Crtics’ Circle nominations and was named a Theatre Bay Area Finalist for Outstanding World Premiere Musical. Shoshana in December, a queerish Jewish musical for which Wes is writing lyrics, recently received an NEA Grant for development at Z Space. A self-proclaimed fat activist, Wes’s new show about President William Howard Taft (the bathtub one) received a TBA CA$H grant. Wes also created the two-person musical JFK ’n Me, which ran monthly at PianoFight for two years. Their first screenplay for a new rock movie musical is currently in development. Wes is an Associate Artist of FaultLine Theater and a proud member of the Dramatists Guild.
